I went home one day and my mum was sitting on the chair crying i said to her why are you crying mum she said that she had had some bad news your dad has been in a bad crash and he is in a bad way.
I said do you know were he is she told me that he was about 6 hours drive away so i said lets go not thinking as mum can not drive all i was thinking about was get to my dad as i did not what him on his own then my mum said that we were getting the train in 1 hour then i asked her if the crash had any one else was hurt she said that there was a young girl who was killed as she said that i started to cry i said was it dads fault mum said no it was a man who was drunk he fell in the road and your dad missed him and hit a girl on the other side off the road.
As we had a long travel in a hour or so i said to mum that it would be a good thing if one of us had a driving lesson or two but first thing was to see who was the best on the online test as we had a little time before we had to go we went on the computer to see who was the best mum did the online test first and i did the online test after she did good but i did better.
On the travel down to dad mum said that i was the one who was going to learn how to drive as i was the best on the test.
The train was full and all i was thinking about was if my dad was OK as it was a bad crash the travel down was taking a long time then i got a pain in my guts like some one had stab me and i said to mum i think dad has gone she said don't be daft he is strong.
When we got there we asked to see him the lady said come with me and she put us in a little room and i remember thinking to my self let my dad be OK then the doc came in and said I'm sorry he died about 1 hour ago i have never cried so much it was the saddest news.
After we had his send off i did do my driving test and passed so that was something that came good.
