I was completely fed up of riding my bike to school every day to be able to attend my classes. I mean, do not get me wrong. I loved riding my bike. My bike was my favourite possession. I loved riding it on a weekend of after school after a busy day of work. I had even signed upto go on a cycling trip from one coast of one country to the coast of another country. I knew it would be hard work but I did love riding my bike. The problem was, I was getting to an age where I wanted to not just be riding my bike, but driving my own car. All my friends were already attending classes at driving school and some had already even passed their theory test and many had said the theory test was easy. I knew that I wanted to be one of the people saying they had attended driving school classes and had passed the theory test and was just waiting for the driving test. It was my current ambition. My other ambitions were to own a luxury apartment and have a very rewarding career but they were ambitions for the future and right now I just wanted to be driving my own car. I had dreamt of the moment my instructor had said I was ready for my test, and I had dreamed equally of the moment when my examiner said I had passed. It was one of those moments I would remember for the rest of my life. I knew it would be and I knew that I would just want to go and celebrate. I would take care of my licence and follow all the driving rules so that I never risked getting a fine or risk getting points removed from my licence. I also knew that I would never forget about my bike. My big, purple, shiny, clean and expensive bike. But right now, a car was what I wanted more than anything. I decided to join a driving school and as soon as I met my instructor, it all felt right.
