The day has come, the day most parents spend their whole lives dreading has finally arrived for me. That day is what you may ask, well that day is the day my sixteen year old son asks me for car driving lessons. My husband and i have been preparing for this day since the first day we ever saw our son crawl. It was on that day that we knew our sons terrible motor skills would help him become capable of destroying anything and everything that gets in his way. We already had a whole list of insurance groups that we were going to look over with.We knew that we wanted to teach him about themotor just in case of an accident or he needed to replace a part for the motor.
We really did want our son to pass his driving test but we were definitely scared of all the trouble he could get himself into. In fact my husband joked about bribing the instructor to not let him pass. But the thing that worried me the most was when it came time to discussing insurance groups and what he should be looking for he chose the exact opposite of what he needed. He knew nothing of insurance groups and that's when we knew something was definitely going to go wrong.
The motor was something he became good at. My husband had taught him how to assemble a motor and how to fix any problems it may bring. He seems to be mechanically gifted.
My son seemed ready for his test according to his instructors but that was never going to calm down my jitters. I was so scared he would fail and be upset or he would pass and actually have the right to drive in this country. it seemed like a lose lose situation but we knew this day was coming and we knew our son did have a very good shot at passing. When our son finally did pass we celebrated with fear in our hearts and joy on our faces and actually allowed him to drive home.
