Vehicle Rapture

My Parent's have been continuously nagging me to start driving lessons. Always stating that I will regret it if I don't learn how to drive. I switched my computer on, thinking they could be right as I typed driving schools UK into a search engine, it didn't take long to find a driving school nearby. And there was a special promotion, buy twenty lessons for the price of fifteen lessons. I contacted the driving school and arranged for my lessons to start the following week.

During my lessons, I found the practical side more difficult than the theory. I seem to have a bad habit of stalling the car and unable to complete certain maneuvers correctly. I knew I'll need more practice to pass the practical test.

Five months later, I passed my theory test first time, but I failed my first practical test just as I thought. I contacted my instructor and booked for more lessons to start the following week.

Another six lessons later, my instructor decided to enter me for the practical test again, this time I passed. Two days before my eighteenth birthday.

I started looking for a car that I could afford. As I searched the Internet, I started to wonder whether I should buy a new car on finance or a second hand car. Maybe my Parent's would buy me a new car or would they buy a second hand car since I would be a new driver? I didn't think they will buy me a car, they didn't pay for my lessons. Which I thought was unfair since some my friends had their lessons paid by their parent's.

I found a few cars that I liked, and decided to get a few quotes on car insurance before I decide which one to buy. Well, I am on a budget. Ive got to start somewhere.

I found four quotes of car insurance that I could afford, but they were all for four different cars. I thought it was best to think about which one I wanted.

On my eighteenth birthday my Parent's bought me a car, it's second hand though, but it's as good as a new car. And they paid for the first year of car insurance!

I would count this as the best birthday present ever!
